In Death Of The Outsider you don't have a normal gun like in Dishonored 1 & 2, you have the Voltaic Gun aka the Wrist Gun, so when you pick up normal guns or ammo you get ammo for the Voltaic gun :) Hope that helps!

There are so many powers, weapons and items to use and the weapon wheel opens too slow to comfortably pop open during intense moments (sidenote, why can't we navigate that wheel with the right stick as well as the left, like in the first DH?), so doubling the amount of quick-select slots would work perfectly.

Instead of having to refill your mana by collecting vials your mana bar has a cooldown and refills itself.
